What makes Profound RF unique?

Profound RF is a treatment used around the world where it is considered the best medical alternative to a surgical facelift.
The radio frequency heats the skin tissue to 67°C for 3 to 4 seconds in order to stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the deep dermis and thus recreate the dermal volume of the face in a totally natural way. The heat transmitted by this device goes through the skin and targets the skin layer where it is most effective for rejuvenation.

  • 88% of the heat in the dermis;

  • 10% of the heat in the hypodermis;

  • 2% of the heat in the epidermis.

Clinical studies have shown that partially denatured collagen is much more effective in triggering neo-collagenases than fully denatured collagen. Thus, partially denatured collagen can be reconstituted 38% faster than fully denatured collagen, and thereby produce a more substantial restorative action.

How long does Profound RF microneedling  take to work?

After the procedure it will take several weeks to see significant improvement in smoothing and tightening.  As the production of collagen and elastin increases, the skin becomes smoother, denser and firmer. Patients start noticing improvements in as little as two weeks.

Optimal results are visible after 9 to 12 months.

How much downtime can I expect with Profound?

The Profound downtime is caused by swelling and some redness.  This is normal for this procedure, and this resolves within 5 or 7 days.
